About Me

Hi, I’m Katherine

I live on the border of Berkshire and Surrey with my husband, our two girls and our slightly crazy dog, Nellie.

I’m a friendly, empathetic sleep consultant, and as someone who found the world of baby sleep judgemental and isolating when I had my kids I focus on creating a non-judgemental space for parents to share their journey and take the weight off.

I believe that sleep can be improved in a gradual, supportive way and won’t ever suggest leaving your child to ‘cry it out’. Parents know their children better than anyone and my collaborative style combines your expertise with my sleep knowledge to guide the process at every step, focusing on what’s best for your little one and what feels realistic for you.

My sleep journey

Like most parents, we didn’t have an easy time with sleep. Even though our first baby was a relatively good sleeper, we had our fair share of broken nights and exhaustion that lasted for months on end. Luckily, when we did hit bumps in the road it often felt like I found the right information at the right time (although I still spent hours obsessively Googling at 3am to find something, anything, that would help).

Our second baby’s sleep was much worse - she was harder to settle, barely napped and would wake constantly. Meanwhile, I was more exhausted from wrangling a toddler and more frustrated when I couldn’t help my baby (and myself) get some rest. Even though I’d done it before nothing seemed to work for her.

At the same time, I was hearing other new mums say similar things, and it felt like none of us were getting the help that we needed.

As someone who has studied psychology I’ve always been interested in helping and understanding people. Now I combine my psychology degree with my sleep qualification to take the guesswork out of sleep for tired parents who are on the same emotional rollercoaster. My experience with my own kids has taught me how unique each child’s needs are, so my 1:1 plans will always be tailored to them as an individual.
